Secondary Characters in Fanfic

Authors, when you write a story centering on Lois & Clark, how many supporting characters do you tend to use?

	I focus almost exclusively on L&C
	I use supporting characters from the show when the plot requires them, but I don't spend much time on them
	I think supporting characters deserve a little time and development
	I work hard on my villains, but the good guys are all from the show
	I like to give L&C solidly developed friends and foes (either original characters or well-rounded versions of familiar faces)
	I prefer a large cast of characters -- the more, the merrier!
