This is the storyline between Lois and Clark, right where TPTB left off last season…Hope you like it!
What Lois says after the rain stops…

CK: Lois…(stares mesmorised into her eyes)…will you marry me?
LL: Clark…Just because you thought you'd lost me doesn't mean that to hold on to me you have to marry me…
CK: Lois, I understand what you're getting at and it does seem like an awkward time to propose…right after what has just happened, but me asking you to marry me hasn't got anything to do what happened, well not directly. Lois, when I saw you lying there frozen…
LL: Lying there frozen..? How did…
CK: (Clark realising what he had said) I mean…when Superman told me what happened…(please let her buy this…just one more time… Clark says to himself…) the fact that you had risked your life to save my parents, and the possibility that I might lose you forever…well…it made me realise just how much I love you, how much I've always loved you, and how much I want to spend the rest of my life with you…Lois, I have been in love with you from the first time I saw you…Every day, every second, that I have been with you, my love for you has grown. I don't think I have loved anyone as much as I do you.
LL: Oh, Clark…(Lois strokes his face, the way that he had touched hers so many times).. I love you too…but there's one thing I have..
CK: (Clark realising that in order to go on, in order for their relationship to go on, he must tell her the *truth*…and now.) Lois, before you say anything else, and before there's some kind of 'interruption' there's something I've been meaning to tell you for a long time now. I don't know what your reaction is going to be, but I hope…
LL: Clark, what is it?
CK: Lois…(Clark looks around, as if waiting for something to keep him from telling her..) I'm Superman… Lois, before you say anything I want you to understand…
LL: Clark…
CK: Lois, please let me explain…
LL: (Lois puts her finger on Clark's lips to silence him) Clark…I know.
CK: You have to understand that…WHAT?…(Clark, just realising what she had said)
LL: I know…(Lois smiles and strokes his wet hair back)
Suddenly the rain stops (much to Lois' delight as she is becoming drenched) Lois and Clark both look around realising this but nevertheless Clark takes off his jacket and puts it around Lois at the same time both looking intensely into each other's eyes..
CK: You know…I…I…how?
LL: …I don't know…first it was just the coincidences that whenever you were with me, Superman wasn't there and just as an emergency came up…suddenly you'd disappear and Superman would turn up…but that's what I thought it was…a coincidence…When I thought that you might actually be him…I was…FURIOUS! A hundred thoughts went through my mind, like how could you not have confided that in me, the blatant fact that you did not trust me enough to confide in me, the fact that you just have sat there listening to me rave on about Superman to you and not say anything, why you didn't tell me you loved me as Superman after I had told you, as Clark, that I didn't love you when I was going to marry Lex. You knew that depending on what Superman said I would have then decided if I was going to marry Lex. But what really led me to believe that you actually were Superman was … your…your…touch..
CK: (Clark, totally overcome by what Lois just said) …my touch..?
LL: Clark, you know that we've always had a tough time defining our relationship…Clark, I do love you, maybe I always have…and I know that you have ALWAYS been attracted to me (she lets on a little smile) and I thought you always loved me as well not by what you've said, but what you've done. When you hold me and when you touch me and look into my eyes, (I get WAFFs !!!just kidding!!!) I feel so close to you and I can feel that you love me. I suppose that's what I've been so afraid of. I was so scared of the thought of someone loving me and then realising that I, too had grown to love you…In our relationship we hardly ever talked about that but I had learnt that you loved me by the way you expressed yourself, and in particular the way you touched my face. As you touched it yesterday after you had robbed that store and then as Superman as you were about to freeze me. I could tell by your touch. Clark, I know your touch…(Lois' eyes are filled with tears)
Clark takes his left hand and strokes her face just as Lois had said and tears roll down Lois' face. He then bends over looks into her eyes before giving her a short but passionately kiss.
CK: Lois, I've wanted to tell you for so long, but I'd never found the right moment or just when I was about to something would happen, someone would be in trouble. Lois, all those times when we were talking, when we were on the stake out, when we were having lunch, when you about to say something important, it wasn't because of my fear of intimacy, it was because…
LL: …someone was in trouble…gee, I wish I knew that then…
CK: (Clark chuckles) I was about to tell you yesterday morning before breakfast but that phone call interrupted me. That was Mazic- NOT my barber Waldo! I'm sorry for lying to you about where I was and those excuses I was making up. But I couldn't tell you that I was Superman before I knew that you loved me as Clark not as Superman. If I had told you earlier I would never have known if it was me you loved or Superman.
LL: well…I love you! ( Lois giggles)
LL: Clark, ask me again…
Clark smiles and looks into her eyes while taking the ring out again. As he gazes into her eyes she leans over and takes off his glasses, revealing the Man of steel and the man she loved.
CK: Lois…will you marry me?
LL: Yes!
Lois begins to giggle as Clark embarrasses her. The two passionately kiss finally finding everlasting happiness. As they begin walking hand in hand…
LL: Clark…
CK: Yes
LL: …I'm soaked…could we go back to my apartment so that I can change?
CK: (Clark begins to laugh) sure…Mrs Kent
LL: You mean Mrs Lane! Look farm boy, don't think that just because we're going to get married I'm going to take on your name…
CK: Whatever you say, Lois…
LL: One more thing…when you have your Superman outfit on under your clothes..
CK: Yes…
LL: where do your big red boots go? I mean they can't be tucked into your shoes for heaven's sake…or can they?
CK: Ummm…
LL: Don't tell me! You can tell me tonight when we go out.
CK: Where are we going? Are you taking Clark out or Superman?
LL: Clark…we're going to go out on a normal date and do what everyday people do…
CK: …What are we doing, Lois?…
LL: We're going…flying…
Lois and Clark begin to laugh as they head for Lois' apartment with the world at their feet…
