Ordinary People: Part 2

By Kerri Sismilich (sismilch@magpage.com)

Summary: What would have happened that night Lois and Clark were stranded on Spencer Spencer's island if the bad guys had never showed up? Here's a little continuation of the episode "Ordinary People." Hint: steamy story.

Author's note: This story has no first part. The first part is the third season episode "Ordinary People". My story picks up with Lois and Clark talking in front of the campfire. In this story it assumes that no bad guys showed up and Lois and Clark spent the night undisturbed and alone except for each other and the wilderness. ('>'empisizes that the line is from "Ordinary People".)

This is my first fanfic, so please be kind. Send comments to: sismilch@magpage.com

>You know, I dreamed of this. Spending the night in your arms. First it was Superman I dreamed of, then it was Clark.

>What happened?

>Well… First you held me in your arms. And then…we kissed. (kiss)

>And then…

>Yes?

>(laugh)Then I asked you how you felt about me.

>I don't know…how…I feel about you. There is no one way. I feel (sigh) so many things. And all at once. Happy. I'm kind of scared, too. Excited. Calm. Lost. Found. I feel safe in a way that I've never known before, but in danger, too. This thing between us, whatever it is, it's stronger than me. Being with you, is stronger than being alone. That's new to me. (kiss)

"Oh, Clark," Lois started, "This is so new to me, too. That's why I turned down your proposal. I'm scared. I love you more than I ever thought was possible and it scares me. I never thought feeling like this could ever happen to me. I never imagined ever feeling this much love with anyone else in my whole life. Until I met you. I wanted to accept your proposal more than anything else. But you weren't being completely honest with me and I knew that."

"Lois—" Clark started.

Lois put a finger to his lips to silence him and moved closer into his arms. He had to let her get to her point.

"Shhh. Let me finish. What I'm trying to say is… Well, I just…"

"What, Lois? You can tell me. Pick up from before." He knew she'd eventually get to her point.

"Okay." She took a deep breath. "I was afraid to trust you after you couldn't trust me. All those lies, all those excuses, I was so hurt. Then I found out that you were Superman. I understood why you ran, but I still don't understand why you couldn't tell me then. We were so close. Close enough that you proposed to me. But you couldn't tell me your secret. You never did. I had to find it out myself and confront you with it. Why, Clark? Why?" Lois stated, with tears in her eyes.

Clark was stunned. He hadn't seen this coming. He thought for a minute and then answered her.

"I was scared. Scared of your reaction. Scared that you would never love me again if I told you. You were so in love with Superman, that you paid no attention to me. The real me, Clark. When you finally loved me for Clark, not Superman, I was scared to tell you. I finally had you and I didn't want to lose you. But what I didn't realize, was that I was causing more damage by not telling you, than what I would have caused by telling you. We just kept falling further, and further apart. There was my constant running away, Mayson and Scardino. Everything just kept pushing us apart. Believe it or not, Lois, after I proposed to you, I was planning to tell you I was Superman. But first, as I said before, I needed to know that you would marry me. Not Superman and not his powers. Just me, Clark. The REAL me. Superman is what I can do, Clark is who I am."

"I believe you, Clark. I just really wish you would have told me before. But maybe it's for the best. I've been thinking about a certain question you asked me, " Lois said, suddenly acting coy and seductive, "A certain question you asked me a couple of weeks ago. A certain question I said 'no' to."

"Yes," Clark said, not quite sure what she was getting at.

"Well, I was thinking. If you asked me again, I just might give you a different answer. Things are different, now that we've talked."

Clark could hardly believe what he was hearing. But first he had to get the ring. Wait! The bet. Oh, forget the bet! And with that thought Clark zipped off and was back in three seconds flat.

He lifted Lois up and gently set her down. Looking deep into her eyes, he said, "Lois Lane, I have loved you for so long. Will you marry me?"

"Yes, Clark Kent, I will."

Overjoyed, Clark slid the ring onto his new fiancee's ring finger. It was such a gorgeous ring. It was perfect, just like his Lois. Clark smiled at that. HIS Lois. He liked the sound of that. It just fit.

Suddenly, Clark was snapped out of his daze by a pair of warm lips caressing his face. They then moved to meet his. Clark responded to the kiss enthusiastically. After a few seconds, he gently rubbed her lips with his tongue. Sensing what he wanted, she opened her mouth, and his tongue swept into her mouth, experiencing every essence of her. He was striving to know this part of her. So intimate, so passionate. It was like nothing he had ever experienced before. Her touch, her sweet caress, her tongue mingling with his, doing a slow dance, in and out of each other's mouths. Clark discovered every single crevice and indent of her mouth. Lois pulled back for air and then took his mouth again, high on his taste. With her tongue, she gently rubbed the inside of his lips. Clark groaned into her mouth, causing her to further deepen the kiss. Her tongue gently teased his and then rubbed the roof of his mouth. He then forced his tongue back into her mouth and ran it along her teeth. Just then, Clark realized his hand was on her thigh. He started gently massaging it.

With that, Lois pulled back and started taking off her shirt. Clark watched excitedly as her soft, smooth skin was exposed. In response to Lois' actions, Clark slid his shirt off also…

THE END

or for Lois and Clark, a new beginning.

P. S. I think you can guess what happens next in this story :-D
