Author's Note: One day I was wondering what would happen if Lois had Clark's loving personality and Clark had Lois' attitude. If they completely switched their ways and personalities- what would it be like? Then I started thinking that in this story, Clark couldn't be Superman, so I made Lois Ultra Woman instead. In this story the switch comes to life, starting when Lois comes to The Daily Planet.

9:00 A.M.

"Clark, I want you to meet Lois Lane. She is new at The Planet, and I want you to work with her on her first story. Lois, meet Clark Kent.", said Perry White when he introduced the new reporter to The Daily Planet's ace reporter.

Lois Lane gazed into Clark's eyes seeing how strong and how handsome he was. She somehow knew that it was love at first sight.

Clark on the other hand was thinking, `Oh great another new inexperienced reporter. Something I really need now with this big Ultra Woman story. Although she seems nice.'

The first word was said by Lois. "Nice to meet you," she said as she shook his hand, "I've heard a lot about your work. I hope that I can learn some of your techniques. You really are a great reporter."

"Thank you," Clark replied somewhat unenthusiastically, "I certainly look forward to having you on my team."

9:00 P.M.

"Well, what do you think?" Lois asked her new partner.

"What? About the kidnapping?"

"No, silly. About getting something to eat. We have been working on this story for twelve hours and I'm famished! So how about it? I saw a great place just around the corner."

"Well, I don't know… I think I might just fix myself something at home."

"Oh, well… okay, Clark. I'll see you tomorrow?" Lois answered, with a disappointed expression. She thought Clark would accept her offer, knowing he hadn't had lunch either.

"Yeah. See you."

10:00 P.M.

Clark searched his refrigerator, frustrated by finding nothing to eat. He, too, was starving. For he had nothing to eat either. He regretted turning down Lois' offer. He admitted to himself that he thought Lois was kind of cute, but he soon made himself forget by remembering how much his career meant to him. After all, he had put his career at the top of his list. And he had no time for dates or even a relationship now. Clark's thoughts were soon interrupted by a knocking at his door. "Who could it be now?" He answered the door, and to his surprise, it was Lois, of all people.

"Hello, Clark. I know, I know. It's late, you've seen enough of me, and I'm sorry. But, I knew that you would be hungry, and I had this bad feeling that it would be all my fault if you didn't eat. I owe you anyway for letting me work with you, and…"

"Lois…what are you talking about?"

Holding up a brown paper sack, Lois replied, "I went to that place around the corner, and they were just about to close so I got some take out, and I thought about you. So I ordered for you too. I hope you like the chicken chimichanga?"

"Well actually Lois, I was somewhat hungry and to tell you the truth, I'm glad to hear you were thinking about me. Thanks for the food. I appreciate it. Would you like to join me?"

"Why, sure, thank you, Clark." answered Lois, eagerly accepting the offer. Suddenly, Ultra Woman's superhearing kicked in. `Bank robbery… Metropolis Bank… perpetrator headed south on Rockford…' "Uh, Clark, I forgot, I left my other purse in the car… I'll be back in a minute…"

As soon as she got out the door, Lois turned into Ultra Woman, flew out the window, and stopped the bank robbery before the get away car had any time to get away. The police thanked her after she turned the thieves over to them. They were fortunate to have Ultra Woman now, although not from earth, she did great deeds not only for the city of Metropolis, but also for the whole world.

Ultra Woman flew back to Clark's apartment, changed back to Lois and walked in the door with her so- called `other purse'.

"Oh, Lois, I hope you don't mind, I started without you. The food smelled so good, I just couldn't wait. I'm glad you got your other purse. Metropolis can be dangerous at night. While you were gone, I saw on the news that a robbery took place. It was near here, and I started to get worried."

"There was a robbery? Well I guess that would explain the sirens I heard. I guess I should be more careful, huh?"

"Yeah, you should. Well, here's your grilled chicken Caesar salad. Dig in!" Clark said with a smile. He knew now that his work partner was also a friend.

Lois was grinning sheepishly, trying not to look too happy. She had a feeling that in time she would gain more than Clark's friendship. She would also gain his love. Then she started to devour her grilled chicken Caesar salad, while Clark hungrily ate his chicken chimichanga.
