Out of the ashes of a race, Comes a star child, He will find his place, Child of the stars, Among another race.

Born to those who spoke truth, And was scorned by all, They died in the bloom of youth, Elegant mother she was, Letting her tears fall, Noble father found the cause, Of their planet's destruction.

Out of the ashes of a race, Comes a star child, He will find his place, Child of the stars, Among another race.

Lara the gentle mother, Jor-El the knowledgeable father, Their son was their bright glowing star, Mother and father named their son Kal-El, Their star child, And would name no other.

Out of the ashes of a race, Comes a star child, He will find his place, Child of the stars, Among another race.

Out from the embers of a species lost, One life remained, The universe he crossed.
